Jeffrey Rivet is originally from Minnesota. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design. During his undergrad, he traveled to Florence, Italy to study web design for six months.

After he had graduated, he landed the web and graphic design position for Screaming Eagle Promotions in Minneapolis, MN. While It was a great experience for him to design websites and graphics for clothes, he felt driven to learn more about how to build websites. The following year, he decided to go back to school and study web development.

His time at Minneapolis Community and Technical School helped prepare him for the next chapter in his life, Alaska.

It was always a dream of his to someday live in Alaska. It became a reality when he decided to move to Anchorage and join the NBC affiliate - KTUU Channel 2 News digital team.

For the next two years, he designed graphics for KTUU's website and apps and received many awards along the way.

In 2012, he was promoted to digital manager. He was dedicated to making the best online experience for KTUU and lead Alaska’s best digital journalists in an extremely competitive media environment.

As a digital manager, he saw KTUU.com's audience, page views, and Facebook fans double in size. He also won the 1st place Associated Press award for Best Use of Social Media.

While developing and maintaining KTUU's website and apps, the company also provided the opportunity for him to learn new skills such as photography, social media editing, and writing breaking news stories.

The experiences that he has gained by taking on many different positions in KTUU's web department have been invaluable. He will always be grateful for getting the opportunity to work with a talented team and to help build a website that now has the largest viewership in Alaska.

He is currently looking for remote work.
